The official secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof Julius Okojie, revealed this in Abuja while introducing the Board of Nigerian Research and Education Network (NgREN).
He said Nigeria, Ghana, Togo, Benin Republic, Senegal and others would be associated through a submarine link to Europe and have the capacity to take an interest under the second period of NgREN with different colleges of the world.
He, on the other hand, said Nigeria is relied upon to make a 2.5million Euros commitment to the venture to have the capacity to exploit the African Connect 2 Project which will empower profiting nations to be on the same exploration and instruction systems (RENs).
This, the NUC official secretary said, would likewise enhance the country's webometric positioning of colleges and in addition offer examination results and other scholastic substance.
"Any college in Nigeria can consistently work together with any college on the planet. The possibilities of NgREN to enhance showing and learning environment in Nigeria is exceptionally energizing.
