SSANU declares indefinite strike December 24

The Senior Staff Association of Nigeria Universities, SSANU, yesterday guided every one of its individuals to set out on uncertain strike over the arranged conservation of more than 2,000 staff of University Unity Schools.

The affiliation said that the uncertain strike would start on December 24, 2015 even as it portrayed the arranged conservation as an endeavor to profane the holiness of an assention entered with the government.

Tending to writers at its national secretariat, Abuja, the National President of SSANU, Comrade Samson Ugwoke clarified that taking after the December due date for the evacuation of faculty/instructors of University staff schools from the pay-move of government, no less than 2,000 laborers from more than thirty Universities would be tossed into the unemployment market.

Ugwuoke deplored that such activity by the legislature would convey untold hardship to individuals from the affiliation

He uncovered that the affiliation had kept in touch with the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu encouraging him to request the quick withdrawal of all letters from the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, National Universities Commission and the Federal Ministry of Education guiding Vice-Chancellors to evacuate work force of the University Staff Primary Schools from the pay-roll.
